Sépaq – Chute-Montmorency Park

Project

Sépaq – Chute-Montmorency Park

The Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (SÉPAQ) wanted to promote the highlights of its zipline experience and reach international prospective customers in several countries.
The initial idea was to capture the best of the spectacular zipline experience where guests come into close contact with a massive waterfall.
Kool Replay designed a system that captures a guest’s excitement from 5 angles, ranging from close-up shots to wide sweeping shots of the breathtaking scenery

Challenges

Very limited anchor points

The zipline traverses a massive natural cavity with very limited anchor points available to install cameras.
Achieving 360-degree coverage of the ride also presented the team with some lighting challenges, especially during certain periods of the day.

Solution

Independently synchronized cameras

Kool Replay deployed an assembly of close-up and panoramic cameras synchronized independently on each line of the double zipline.

Results

SÉPAQ reached an exceptional conversion rate of 60% of zipline customers.

Of that number, 43% of guests shared their video on social media where posts were viewed in 144 different countries.
No other marketing tool could have provided SÉPAQ with such extended reach among a targeted audience (friends of customers).
Viewing traffic generated by Kool Replay is responsible for more than 70,000 visits to the SÉPAQ online ticket store.

Special Award

In 2019, the Kool Replay project led the Parc de la Chute-Montmorency to win a prestigious award for best digital marketing innovation from the “Alliance de l’industrie touristique du Québec”.

(The provincial government body responsible for the worldwide promotion of tourism in Quebec).
